Somebody was asked to speak to a room of people learning to swim,
and the club sent its strongest swimmer, who explained the stroke beautifully,
and the room stayed at the shallow end all evening.

The next month they sent somebody who had nearly drowned at nineteen
and had not been in water for a decade after it.

That one did not explain the stroke.
That one said what it is like to want to get out.
Half the room went past the rope before nine o'clock.
